Poem – Tied Binds

Corrosion corrupts my mind, leaving everything  left unbound

Trainings and thoughts, twisted and turned, burnt to an everlasting crisp

Can you hear me searching, scratching at the walls of my prison

I yearn for a place of solace, to once again feel the water on my face

To lift this blackened heap off of me, to break the ties that bind me to death

Fingers left bleeding, nails hanging barely, pain ferocious

I cry, and I’ll continue to cry, cry for my freedom

But I continue to look out my jail cell window, knowing that I’m destined to this

I’ve been re-wired,. This place.. corrupti.. I’ve been re-wi.. this p.. cor.. i’..
