Poem – Breathe

Floating down the river so, flowing with such grace

Smells and sounds abound, make my soul grow

Wanting of peace and happiness, nature providing such things?

Clearing mind of ill-fated gifts, dissolving all darkness in your midst

Help me from my racing thoughts, guide me to my peaceful sleep

Let the rain from above fall on me, wash away all my pain

Strip away all that bears me down, stop the evil choking me to the point of decease

Let me flow to where it wants, as my soul needs to breathe

My tears will fall, but don’t mistaken them for saddeness, as they’re all types of rejoice

Can I witness this peace, this paradise

In a world full of fears and lies, let me breathe

All my breaths now, is just numbing.
